Foreign Based Zimbabweans Round Up

Soccer24 rounds up action for our Zimbabwean players playing abroad.

Knowledge Musona (KV Oostdnde, Belgium)
Musona’s KV Oostende may continue to dream for a place in Europe after a successful victory against Gent. It was yet another fantastic performance from the Smiling Assassin a big “European” 4-3 win for KV Oostende vs KAA Gent.

Musona was not amongst the scorers and was subbed 2 minutes into injury time as Oostende hung on to a well fought victory.

Gent’s Kenny Saief opened the scoring in the 13th minute but the visitors allowed the hosts to equalize 11 minutes later.
Danijel Milicevic scored in the 56th minute to put Gent ahead again, but Oostende went on to score three times in the space of 13 minutes to make it 4-2.

Kubo, netted in the 80th minute with Saief’s assist to pull Gent to within one goal.

Marvelous Nakamba (Vitesse, Netherlands)
A late goal led to a Vitesse 1 nil defeat at FC Utrecht. Marvellous Nakamba played the full match and Vitessse now sits in 6th place in the Eredivisie.

Nyasha Mushekwi (Dalian Yifang, China)
Nyasha Mushekwi continued with his blistering start to the Chinese League 1 as he fired yet another brace in Dalian Yifang 2-1 victory over Shenzhen.

Mushekwi scored in the 4th and 68th minute whilst the opponents could only pull one back through Harold Preciado with under 5 minutes left of play.

Mushekwi has now scored 8 goals in 8 matches as Dalian Yifang leads the League One standings.

Lucky Mkosana (Mariehamn, Finland)

Mkosana entered as a 67th minute substitute as his team slumped to a heavy 3 nil defeat against Ilves.

Costa Nhamoinesu (Sparta Praha, Czech Republic)
Nhamoinesu continues to be on the sidelines as his team beat Slovan 1-0 to remain 3rd in the Czech Liga.

Kundai Benyu (Aldershot, England)
Kundai Benyu missed the 2nd leg of the promotional play offs against Tramere Rovers after picking up an injury in the first leg.

Aldershot drew 2-2 but a 3 nil first leg defeat condemned them back in the National league.

Benyu took time to bid Aldershot farewell as his loan spell at the team came to an end.

Macauley Bonne (Colchester, England)
Macauley Bonne was not in the matchday squad as his team beat Yeovil 2 nil in a crucial League 2 encounter.

Tinotenda Kadewere (Djugardens, Sweden)
Tinotenda Kadewere was a 79th minute substite in his team’s 4-0 win over Orebro.

Tinashe Chakwana, (Burnley U-18’s, England)
Chakwana’s Burnley beat Accrington U18 3-2.
