Tsholotsho humbles Bosso as CAPS’ fairytale continues

Tsholotsho FC finally registered their first win of the season when they humiliated Highlanders 1-0  on Wednesday afternoon in a reschedule league match at Barbourfields stadium.

IziQholo Zezhwane went in to the game as underdogs and Bosso were tipped favourites ahead of the encounter. However things totally went the opposite and the Bulawayo giants suffered another successive defeat.

A solitary strike on the stroke of half time by Lucky Ndlela was what the visitors wanted to create the big upset. The second half saw little action as Highlanders made unfruitful attacks. Their golden  opportunity came on the hour mark when Ralph Matema was brought down on the edge of the box. However Tendai Ngulube sent his shot off target.

Though the fading giants tried their best to restore parity, it was Tsholotsho who celebrated their first triumph of the campaign at the blow of the last whistle.

Meanwhile, in Harare CAPS United again proved their class when they humbled Black Rhinos 2-1 at the National Sports stadium.

The Green Machine were bullish from the first whistle, dominating position. Their breakthrough came moments before the half time when Ronald Pfumbidzai’s corner kick was deflected to the back of the net by Brighton Chandisaita.

Rhinos leveled terms with seven minutes to play but Makepekepe restored the lead two minutes later through Dominic Chungwa’s effort.

The game ended with CAPS United climbing three places on table to tenth while for Rhinos it became their sixth loss in a raw
