Dynamos coach Callisto Pasuwa was delighted after seeing his team bounce back from what he termed a difficult week while Highlanders coach Kelvin Kaindu said he would take the positives from the match to ready his team for the upcoming season.
Dynamos’ exit from the CAF Champions League drew wide spread criticism for both Pasuwa and his team and they had even been suggestions that some board members wanted Pasuwa fired.
But despite the pressure Pasuwa felt his team responded well “I am happy with the way the team played and i was mostly happy with the way the guys responded after a poor week and going forward we can do with a bit more possession and other areas that we still need to polish up, ” said a relieved Pasuwa after the match.
Highlanders coach Kelvin Kaindu said though he was disappointed with the result he wanted to take the positives from the match.
“I want to comment only on the performance of my team and am happy with the performance although I am not happy about the result but this game accorded us the opportunity to look at their team against good opposition and we are going to work on the areas that we saw needs improving,” said the Zambian mentor.
Kaindu is yet to beat Dynamos since taking the reins at Highlanders.
