Foreign based Zimbabweans Round Up

It wasnt a particularly good weekend for most Zimbabweans in foreign League around the globe. Here is this week’s round up of foreign based Zimbabweans.

Marvelous Nakamba (Vitesse, Netherlands)
Nakamba played the entire match in a goalless draw against Heerenveen on Saturday. The Midfilder was booked in the 32nd minute for rough play. Vitesse remain on 6th position in the Netherlands league (Eredivisie).

Knowledge Musona (KV Oostende, Belgium)
Musona appeared as a 65th minute Substitute in his team’s 2-2 draw with Mouscron-Péruwelz. Oostende remains at the top of the Belgian Pro League just 3 points ahead of Zulte-Waregem and Gent. The Zimbabwean hitman has not had a full start at the club in now 5 consecutive league matches.

Silaso Songani (SønderjyskE, Denmark)
Songani played just a little over 7 minutes after being introduced as an 83rd minute substitute. SønderjyskE ran riot beating OB 4-0 and moved to second position in the Denmark Supaliga.

Matthew Rusike (Halmstad, Sweden)
Rusike’s team drew 0-0 against Malmo to remain condemned in relegation zone. With 4 games remaining in the Swedish Allsvenskan, Halmstad is languishing at 2nd from the bottom, 9 points behind safety. They look set to be relegated, and the team may join Archford Gutu’s Varnamo in the second tier.

Archford Gutu (Varnamo, Sweden)
After missing for a long time, Former Dynamos favorite who plays in the 2nd tier Swedish League (Superettan) finally made an appearance, but in a losing cause. Varnamo lost 2-1 against Verberg and Gutu featured the entire match.

Costa Nhamoinesu (Sparta Praha, Czech Republic)
Sparta Praha’s impressive 7 match unbeaten run came to end as they lost 1-0 to Slavia Praha. Nhamoinesu who is a regular at the club was booked in the 74th minute for rough play. Sparta remain at the top of the Czech Liga but now just on goal aggregate.

Tendayi Darikwa (Burnley, England)
Darikwa seems to be the only player who found the target in players abroad category over the last weekend as he scored Burnley’s goal in a 2-1 defeat against Reading. Darikwa scored in the 69th after after Reading had scored two early goals inside the opening 10 minutes of the game.

Macauley Bonne (Colchester United, England)
The young striker managed to play just 3 minutes of the game as Colchester beat Swindon Town 2-1. Macauley was introduced in the 89th minute as the Us winded up the clock.
