Tawurayi Mangwiro hails Calisto Pasuwa

Harare City coach Tawurayi Mangwiro has congratulated Warriors head coach Kalisto Pasuwa on the team qualification for CHAN 2016 in Rwanda next January.

The team drew 1-1 with Lesotho at the Sesotho stadium in Maseru on Sunday, a result that gave them a 4-2 aggregate win following a 3-1 win at Barbourfields last week.

Mangwiro said: “Pasuwa has once again demonstrated that he is committed to duty of seeing our national game improve. We all know the circumstances he is playing under and to get the boys to play and win matches takes a great deal of class.

“He has done it again with the qualification for CHAN. Now is the time for all coaches to congratulate him for a job well done. Now our national team will be playing alongside other 15 nations including hosts Rwanda.

“As Harare City, I say congratulations to Pasuwa and the boys and pledge to support him in all his endeavors ahead of the tournament. We are solely behind the Warriors”.

The tournament runs from January 17- February 7.

Mangwiro who watched his charges fail to beat How Mine at Rufaro stadium on Saturday said he now has switched his focus on winning the Chibuku Super Cup on Saturday against Dynamos with preparations for the tie resuming on Tuesday morning.
