Match Report: Chicken Inn 1-1 FC Platinum

Chicken Inn and FC Platinum played to a one all draw in a match that was played in a packed and heaving Luveve Stadium.

It was a pulsating match that saw FC Platinum get into the lead in the 15th minute through Tatenda Dzumbunu after a brilliant build up in the left flank.

Dzumbunu poked the ball inside the net after inform Brian Muzondiwa subtracted his makers before realizing Dzumbunu who had the Chicken Inn goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze to beat.

FC Platinum began to fully dominate the game in the middle of the park with Winston Mhango,Gerald Takwara, Tatenda Mudehwe and Tatenda Dzumbunu proving to be difficult to handle for Toto Banda, Danny Phiri, Clemence Matawu George Majika.

But at the death of first half hordes of football fans that thronged Luveve Stadium watched in disbelief when Chicken Inn’s Edmore Chirambadare miss two glorious opportunities in the space of a minute.

Majika had provided him with two inviting crosses from the left which he failed to nod home with Petros Mhari who was in goals for Platinum already a beaten man.

Four minutes after the breather, Matawu restored parity courtesy of a hard and low effort that beat Mhari to make it one all.

Thereafter the home side was all over the miners and against the run of play, Brian Muzondiwa broke loose and with Chipezeze to beat he dived inside the box claiming to be have been fouled.

Referee Philani Ncube could not have none of it and he booked Muzondiwa for diving and for using foul language hence the player was given his marching orders in the 60th minute.

Muzondiwa was Platinum’s trump-card giving the entire Chicken Inn defence a torrid time when he was in possession.

The draw sees Chicken Inn remain four points ahead of FC Platinum with four games to go.
