Nigeria clinch U-17 World Cup as TP Mazembe win CAF Champions League

Nigeria retained the U-17 World Cup title last night after beating Mali in an all-African final in Chile.

Nigeria won 2-0 with Victor Osimhen scoring his 10th goal of the tournament while Funsho Bamgboye scored the second.
The win means Nigeria has now won the tournament for a record 5th time after winning it before in 1985, 1993,2007 and in 2013.

TP Mazembe

Meanwhile DRC side TP Mazembe clinched their 5th African Champions League crown when they beat USM Alger 4-1 on aggregate.
TP Mazembe carried a 2-1 lead from the first leg and made victory certain with a 2-0 win in Lubumbashi, DRC.

Mbwana Samatta scored in the 74th minute before Roger Assale sealed the win in added time.

TP Mazembe last won  the tournament in 2010.
