Ndiraya accuses PSL of bias

Dynamos head coach Tonderai Ndiraya has accused the Premier Soccer League of bias after two of his players Takesure Chinyama and Rodreck Mutuma were found guilty for their actions after the Chibuku Super Cup final against Harare City.

The two players charged towards the referee after the final whistle and had to be restrained by police and marshals.

By Ndiraya feels other players have gotten away with similar offences.

Speaking to Newsday Ndiraya said, “I’m worried, to be quite honest, by the disciplinary issues, but there is also a big question that needs to be answered,” he said.

“Are they the only players who were on the wrong side of the law this season? It looks like the law is being applied selectively. The Steven Alimenda one was deserved, but I think Roderick and Chinyama have been hard done by the ruling.”

The PSL disciplinary committee charged the pair with violent conduct and although they are to be given their sentence they were excluded from the Soccer Star Selection process for the offence.

If sentenced this week both Chinyama and Mutuma could possibly miss the Easycall Cup semi-final clash against Highlanders this weekend.
