Billiat was continued to be a threat for Sundowns with his pace and trickery resulting in him drawing a number of fouls.

In the 51st minute Sundowns went two up when Thabo Nthethe headed in Teko Modise’s corner.

Kaizer Chiefs had two great chances to get themselves back in the game after getting two penalties in the second half however Onyango in the Sundowns goal did well to keep out Tshabalala and  Camaldine Abraw.
