ZIFA ordered to apologise

ZIFA High Performance committe chairman Edzai Kasinauyo finally met Warriors coach Callisto Pasuwa to deliberate on the future of the Warriors squad ahead of the scheduled 2016 CHAN tournament to be held in Rwanda.

It follows a hectic week in which Callisto Pasuwa was fired only to be reinstated 2 days later after a public outcry that included including Sport and Recreation Minister Makhosini Hlongwane.

ZIFA and Pasuwa have finally reached an agreement that will see Warriors heading back into camp in preperation of CHAN. Though Edzai Kasinauyo could not divulge on the outcome of the meeting deciding to leave the rest for a Press conference set for later.

However Callisto Pasuwa’s handler Gibson Mahachi has demanded that the association apologises to Pasuwa over the illtreatment they extended to the gaffer.

“We demand a public apology from ZIFA for lying to the nation. They should apologise unconditionally for the distress they caused to the coach. Most of the things he (Sibanda) said were false”, Mahachi told the Herald.

ZIFA alleged that the Warriors coach was corrupt and involved in underhand dealings in which he handed National team call ups to player handled by his Agent Gibson Mahachi.

Mahachi says he only manages 4 players from the current squad but not 16 as stated by ZIFA.
