Report: Dynamos closing in on foreign head coach

Dynamos are reportedly targeting a foreign head coach ahead of the 2016 season. The former league champions appear to have had a change of heart over Tonderai Ndiraya who led the club till the end of the season.

Mubaiwa had earlier indicated that Pasuwa would be given the mandate to lead the club but have now opted for a foreigner.

According to ZBC Dembare are eying a Portuguese national who could be in the country before this week ends to conclude a deal. Though the name is unknown indications are that the incoming coach has a colourful CV that includes coaching in other African countries such as Nigeria.

Dynamos had been keen to rope in former CAPS United coach Mark Harrison but failed to agree terms.Harrison is now based in Botswana with Township Rollers who currently lead the Botswana Premier League.Only a big offer would have tempted the British coach.

Webster Chikengzha was not giving anything away and neither confirmed or denied the rumours insisting they would make an announcement if something happened.

If Dynamos complete a deal with the Portuguese man it would mean the country’s two leading clubs will have foreign coaches with Highlanders only waiting for Dutchman Erol Akbay to get a work permit before he starting at Bosso.
