Uganda coach worried about Zambia vs Mali outcome

Barely 48 hours to the last CHAN 2016 group D fixtures, Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic is already worried of the outcome from the Zambia versus Mali fixture.

As Uganda will be tussling Zimbabwe at Umuganda in Rubavu, Mali will be battling Zambia miles away at the Kigali regional stadium in Nyamirambo.

Like all the last group games, both of these matches shall be played concurrently at the same timing.

Perhaps, the Serbian born tactician fears, there is a conflicting interest between the two countries.

“There is a conflicting interest from the two countries and everyone knows it but I respect both countries. Zambians are led by a honorable football icon- Kalusha. We expect them to play to the best of their ability and respect the game and African football wins. We shall play to the best of our ability against Zimbabwe on Wednesday. We shall play our part as we wait for the results from the other match.”, Sredojevic said

Micho tried to elaborate where the conflict of interest lies with emphasis on particular players from the two countries having the same agent.

With Zambia already through, Mali only needs a point to progress.

Meanwhile, Uganda requires to overcome Zimbabwe with at least two goals and hope Zambia registers a victory for any chance for the Cranes to make it to the quarter finals.
