Chicken Inn hold Zanaco in first International friendly

Chicken Inn had to twice come from behind to draw 2-2 with Zambian CAF Confederations Cup reps Zanaco in their first game of the Zambian tour.

The Gamecocks had to come from behind after conceding early in the match after a mistake by Ben Nyahunzwi who attempted to play a back pass to his goalkeeper Pride Zendera but the pass was unfortunately intercepted by the Zanaco player who made no mistake scoring for the hosts.

Brian Juru who was thrust in the defensive linkman role of injured Danny Phiri found the equalizer.

Chicken Inn was unfortunate to concede another goal with 15 minutes left of play but new signing Obadiah Tarumbwa denied victory for the Zambian with a fine goal to level matters with 5 minutes left of play.

The match had to end as a draw and both teams share spoils.

The other teams in the tournament are the Zambian Champions and CAF Champions League reps Zesco as well as Azam.

Zesco powered their way through Azam by claiming all three points after winning by a goal to nil.

Zesco leads the four team log standing and their next match is against the Gamecocks in two days time.
