Kenny Mubaiwa keen on PSL Chairmanship

Dynamos president Kenny Mubaiwa has announced his intentions to run for the PSL chairmanship.

ZIFA have insisted that fresh elections have to be run after Twine Phiri lost his chairmanship at CAPS United after he ceded control of the club to Farai Jere.

Phiri has argued that only clubs had the mandate to remove him and has already received the backing of the majority of local clubs while CAPS United have written to ZIFA saying he is still their representative.

However ZIFA are determined to press on with elections and Mubaiwa who lost the last elections to Phiri has thrown his name.

Speaking to the Herald Mubaiwa said, “I feel I should give it a try and go for it. My papers in order and some clubs have already nominated and seconded my signature.

Other candidates are yet to announce their intentions while it remains uncertain whether Twine Phiri will be allowed to contest.
