Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi combined as Barcelona hammered Gary Neville’s Valencia 7-0 in the Copa Del Rey semi-final first leg tie at the Nou Camp
Suarez scored four while Messi registered a hat-trick. Suarez started the rout when he scored the opener for Barcelona inside 10 minutes after being played in by Brazilian international Neymar.
Valencia finished the match with ten men after Shkodran Mustafi was sent off in the first half for fouling Messi. Neymar missed from the resultant penalty. The game also saw Messi reach another milestone in his career as he registered his 500th goal.
Neville is yet to win a league game since taking over the reins and the latest defeat could lead to more pressure. He has won four times in the Copa Del Rey with Valencia.
