Harare City beat AS Adema in CAF Confederations Cup

Harare City beat As Adema 3-2 in the first leg of the Preliminary stage of the Caf Confederations Cup.

Harare City started like a house on fire and could have easily scored 3 goals in the opening 10 minutes but Zekumbawire, Blessing Moyo and Manuvire took turns to miss the target.

The hosts eventually took the lead in the 37th minute when Ronald Chitiyo scored a well composed goal, flighting it past a diving keeper.

Manuvire doubled Harare City lead 2 minutes later with a Bizarre goal that went through the Keeper’s legs. Manuvire harmless goal bound effort was somehow missed by the keeper and went right through his legs.

AS Adema was able to pull a goal back in the second minute of the second half when an unmarked Rajaniasy scored a free header insider the box.

Just two minutes later an AS Adema player was brought down inside the box by Blessing Moyo having stolen the ball off the defender. Kassah stepped up and sent Maxwell Nyamupanedengu the wrong way with his spot kick.

Manuvire scored his second on the day and literally gave Harare City the win with 5 minutes remaining on the clock.

The Sunshine boys will be happy to go for the second half with a lead but will feel undone by 2 soft away goals they conceded.
