EPL: Rashford hits brace as Man Utd beat Arsenal, Spurs close gap on leaders

Marcus Rashford scored twice and provided one assist on his Premier League debut as an injury-hit Manchester United beat Arsenal 3-2 at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The result has seen Man United regain fifth position in the table from West Ham United and Louis van Gaal’s side are now just three points off the top four. Arsenal, meanwhile, remain five points off the league leaders Leicester City.

Rashford, 18, scored twice in the first period for the Red Devils, before setting up Ander Herrera for what proved to be winning goal for a youthful home team.

Welbeck and Ozil scored for Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur’s quest for a first league title since 1961 remains alive following their 2-1 victory over Swansea City at White Hart Lane in the other Premier League encounter.
