Mubaiwa refuses to give up on PSL chairmanship

Dynamos president Kenny Mubaiwa has refused to give up his pursuit of the PSL chairmanship despite his latest loss.

Mubaiwa was convincingly beaten by Highlanders chairman Peter Dube losing 11-4. Mubaiwa also lost 12-3 to Twine Phiri in 2014.

However speaking to the Sunday Mail after the latest defeat Mubaiwa said,  “I will not give up, as long as there are elections I will contest. The last time there were only two candidates, myself and Twine (Phiri) and today (yesterday), it is only two again.

“Maybe the other governors do not want to try, so for elections to happen there must be contestants and if others do not want it I will go for it.

After the departure of Twine Phiri who had done a commendable job during his tenure PSL clubs seemed to want continuity in DUbe who have been vice-chairman during Phiri’s tenure.
