Players and coaches implicated in match fixing scandal

More details have emerged about a plot to fix the Warriors upcoming AFCON qualifier with players, coaches implicated.

ZIFA Executive Committee member Edzai Kasinauyo was suspended for allegedly attempting to fix the upcoming matches yesterday

Kasinauyo is believed to be at the centre of the match fixing plot with sources at ZIFA now indicating that former coaches and current players in the ABSA Premiership are also involved.

Kasinauyo is a former player agent  and has handled a number of moves for players moving from Zimbabwe to the ABSA Premiership.

The individuals were allegedly working with South African based match fixers to throw away the crucial qualifiers for an attractive fee.

ZIFA says it’s has compiled convincing evidence that implicates a number of individuals with emails and telephone records  part of its dossier.

Players and coaches named:

-Geroge Chivgova (Polokwane goalkeeper and Zimbabwean international)

-Partson Jaure (University of Pretoria and Zimbabwean international)

-Nation Dube (Assistant Warriors coach)

-Ian Gorowa (Former Warriors coach and current Moroka Swallows coach)

ZIFA will issue more details later today at a press conference to discuss the details and issue a plan of action. The association has already briefed both FIFA and CAF.
