Darikwa and Galloway unavailable for the Warriors

Zimbabwe Warriors have been dealt a major blow following the spurning of National Duty Call Ups by the duo of Tendayi Darikwa and Brendan Galloway.

Galloway who turns out for Everton in the English Premiership while Darikwa plays for Championship side Burnley. The two greatly talented players were part of a 27 men strong squad called up by coach Callisto Pasuwa.

The Newsday reports that the two have withdrawn from the squad citing other commitments.

Hopes were high among the fans after the two call ups of the two potentials who are also still eligible to play for England. The two players have already played for England Junior teams

Warrirs Team Manager Shariff Mussa was quted in the Newsday as saying: “Darikwa has excused himself for now. He said he has some family issues which he wants to sort out and if it’s sorted in time, he would avail himself.

I haven’t received any official communication from Galloway, but I expect to have a response by Friday.”

He added: “Bonne has confirmed that he wants to come, but he has an issue with his passport. I’m sure that can be sorted. I will also have a clear picture by Friday.”
