Exciting Warriors defender Costa Nhamoinesu was on target as Sparta Prague beat Slavia Prague 3-1 in the Prague derby.
Clashes between Sparta and Slavia is one of the biggest games in the Czech league for the two teams based in Prague. The two sides are also the most successful in Czech club history.
Slavia took an early 6th minute lead in the first half but Sparta turned the heat in the second half scoring all 3 goals.
Nhamoinesu scored the second goal in the 74th minute.
Sparta Prague remained in second place 6 points behind leaders Viktoria Plzeň who also registered a win.
It’s been a very good week for Nhamoinesu for the Zimbabwean international after he was named in the UEFA Europa Team of the week last week.
Nhamoinesu next stop will be turning out for the Warriors in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers and fans will hope he does not only replicates his defensive abilities but his goal scoring form as well.
