Chinyama leaves Dynamos after turning down coaching role offer

Dynamos have part ways with Takesure Chinyama (33) after the striker asked to leave the club. Chinyama has not had the best relationship with Dynamos head coach Paulo Jorge Silva and was not part of the Portuguese mentor’s plans after being left out of the 2016 squad.

Silva had argued that Chinyama was injured but the veteran striker believed his injury was not that serious.

Dynamos tried to offer the experienced forward a place in their technical team which Chinyama declined as  he wanted to keep playing.

Dynamos president Kenny Mubaiwa confirmed Chinyama’s departure .”Takesure declined our and asked for clearance which we have since issued Mubaiwa told the Herald.

Chinyama re-joined Dynamos in  May 2015 and went on to finish as Dynamos top goal scorer last season with seven goals.

Chinyama’s firs spell with Dynamos ended in 2012 when he moved to ABSA Premiership side Orlando Pirates.

Chinyama’s departure means Dynamos’ continue their hunt for a reliable striker with a number of foreigners assessed so far. Dynamos currently have a Cameroonian striker on trials as Silva aims to beat the first transfer deadline this weekend.
