Kasinauyo suffers High court set back

Things are not going well for former ZIFA board member Edzai Kasinauyo after the High Court threw out his urgent application after he had been accused of match fixing.

Kasinauyo alongside former ZIFA CEO Henrietta Rushwaya, former Warriors head coach Ian Gorowa as well as Warriors assistant coach Nation Dube are alleged to have tried to fix Zimbabwe’s AFCON qualifiers against Swaziland and other matches.

Kasinauyo said he was innocent and through his lawyers filed an urgent application to the high court to bar ZIFA from associating, alleging and or accusing him of the match fixing allegations in any forum whatsoever should they fail to produce match fixing evidence.

Kasinauyo was expelled yesterday from the association for trying to address his case with the courts and not using football channels as required by other ZIFA and CAF.

But now the High Court have dismissed the case as not urgent .The matter with the case number HC 3187 was placed before her ladyship Honourable Justice Matanda-Moyo and she declared that the case was not urgent ZIFA said in a statement.

With ZIFA handing their evidence to CAF and FIFA Kasinauyo and other members named in the scandal could face life bans from football if found guilty.
