Kaizer Chiefs on the verge of signing Chicken Inn duo

ABSA Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs are on the verge of signing Chicken Inn pair of Edmore Chirambadare and Mitchel Katsvairo,Soccer24 has established

During the recent international transfer window, Chirambadare and hard running Mitchel Katsvairo trained with South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs and impressed the technical team.

The duo scored a goal each during one of Amakhosi’s friendly matches.

“Chirambadare and Katsvairo were recently in South Africa were they trained with Kaizer Chiefs, said a well-placed source. “They scored a goal each during one of the friendly matches added the source.

In February, following their exit in the CAF Champions League, clubs like Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, Supersport and Golden Arrows had made enquiries over a number of their players.

The skillful Chirambadare and first leg scorer Mitchelle Katsvairo appeared to be topping the list of the players.

Kutinyu reportedly impressed Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane and the coach wanted  to take a closer look at him.

However Kaizer Chiefs have moved quickly on the other players and have already agreed on personal terms with the two. What is left is for the two clubs to agree on a fee a source close to the deal revealed.

Kaizer Chiefs have had a disappointing season and have been short upfront with the club hierarchy admitting that they will strengthen that department.

Chicken Inn could be losing at least 5 players by June with the trio of Danny Phiri,Devine Lunga and Moses Demra currently on trials with Golden Arrows.

. Head coach Joey Antipas has also been linked with a move to an National First Division side.

Chicken Inn chairman Lifa Ncube has in the past said they would not stand on any player’s way if approached.

“The boys performed gallantly and we’ve had a few enquiries from South African clubs about some of our players. We’ll not stand in any player’s way. We’re ready to strike deals,” said Chicken Inn chairman Lifa Ncube.

Ncube also lamented on the experienced gained on the short stint at the tournament and says they will now focus on regaining the Premier League trophy to ensure another dance at the champions league.
