Patience and hard-work paying off for Ndoro says Tinkler

Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler says Tendai Ndoro’s recent spark of form is a result of hard work in the recent times.

Ndoro endured a tough time at the start of the season failing to acquire a starting berth at Pirates. He was forced to go down the perk of all the strikers behind Thamsanqa Gabuza, Lehlohonolo Majoro and Kermit Erasmus who has since left for France.

In an Interview with Kick Off, Tinkler who has faced widespread criticism for sidelining Ndoro earlier in the season said the Zimbabwean International form is a result of current hard work which was missing earlier on.

“His work rate has improved dramatic and at training he has putting a lot more effort,” Tinkler said when asked what has been the difference in Ndoro’s play since the start of the campaign.

“We knew in front of goals he would hurt teams. The way we play, everybody is expected to help defensively, everybody is expected to help offensively and that was the area of his game he needed to improve.

“Also, at the beginning of the season we all know Kermit was doing well and he needed to bide his time and wait for his opportunity.”

Tendai Ndoro has scored nine goals in his last eight matches and is current top scorer in the Nedbank Cup with 4 goals.
