CAPS United captain Method Mwanjali has been remanded in custody till early May.
Mwanjali is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing a Harare man Tonderai Nhunzvi during a scuffle on Saturday night.
Gutu who was in the company of Mwanjali was released on bail yesterday.
With the victim yet to start talking the state is yet to fully conclude its investigations and get a statement from Nhunzvi. The seriousness of the case has led to further remand.
Mwanjali will be placed at Remand prison near Newlands in Harare until the 4th of May.
CAPS United were keen to have Mwanjali released on bail but failed and may need to appeal to the high court for that.
CAPS United are set to meet Harare City this weekend and the issues comes when they was great hope of a memorable season this season for the Green Machine after a busy transfer period.
