Mourinho has reportedly signed his deal at Man Utd

Manchester United will announce former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho as Louis van Gaal’s successor within the next two weeks, according to the Express.

The Portuguese reportedly signed a contract last week after United brought forward the negotiations following reports that Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain were rumoured to have been hoping to secure Mourinho’s services.

After Saturday’s 2-1 win victory over Everton in the FA Cup semi-final, Van Gaal remained bullish when faced with questions over his United future and insisted he is only focusing on the FA Cup.

“I’m not looking at anything other than this competition,” Van Gaal said when asked about his United future.

“We live in the present. For the future, I discuss this with my board.”

Saturday’s win was United’s first FA Cup semi-final win since 2007 and it means they could potentially secure the cup that has eluded them for over a decade with their opponents in the final being Crystal Palace who defeated Watford.
