Orlando Pirates have reportedly signed promising Zimbabwean teenager Nyasha Munetsi on a long term deal.
Munetsi (19) has been described as being “like Yaya Toure” only joined National First Division side FC Cape Town last year from Harare based academy Friendly Academy run by Richard Solobela .
He has also turned out for the Zimbabwe national U-17 team before.
Munetsi underwent trials with Orlando Pirates late last year and did enough to impress and earn a multi-million rand deal according to Kickoff.com.
Munetsi was delighted with the move and is quoted by Kickoff saying “ It is a great honour for me to play for a big club with a rich history.
“I thank my teammates as well as all the management and staff for their support and belief in me he added.
FC Cape Town had already revealed interest from a number of ABSA Premiership side for their players including Munetsi.
Munetsi will link up with fellow country man Tendai Ndoro at Orlando Pirates.
