Chicken Inn fined by CAF

The Confederation of African Football have fined Chicken Inn $5 000 for their players actions after losing to Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League.

Chicken Inn lost the match 2-0 despite putting on a commendable performance over the two legs. They had won the first leg 1-0 at Barbourfields Stadium.

According to CAF the club was sanctioned for the offensive behaviour of players towards the referee.

Chicken Inn’s debut appearance in the CAF Champions League saw a number of their players catch the attention of South African clubs while head coach Joey Antipas is already joining Amazulu in July.
