Akbay praises youngster Prince Dube

Highlanders coach Elroy Akbay has heaped praises on youthful striker Prince Dube for putting on Sterling performances lifting Highlanders in a commendable 2nd position on the log.

Speaking at the club’s press conference yesterday, Akbay was quoted by the Chronicle saying he however fears losing the player to foreign more paying leagues.

“He’s one of the best stars in the game and I hope he gets better with each game. If he continues with his current form, we could lose him in the next year or two. I hope he can be in my team for some time so that he works more and achieves more for the team,” said Akbay.

Prince Dube playing in his debut Premier Soccer League season has shown great character in front of goals. The youngster is joint top scorer on 4 goals with team mate Knox Mutizwa and FC Platinum’s Aubrey Chirwa.

Dube also scored one of the 2 goals for Highlanders as the Bulawayo giants broke a 10 year jinx to win a league match against Dynamos.
