CAPS United players end strike

CAPS United have ended their strike and have also been paid their outstanding May salary and bonuses.

The squad has not trained for three days  in protest over the outstanding money. However after getting their dues and being addressed by club owner Farai Jere the players are set to resume preparations for this weekend’s action.

At a press conference held this afternoon club Chairman Advocate Uriri expressed disappointment with the industrial action.

“It is sad to note  that we communicated that the salary was going to be delayed due the the cash challenges we are facing and also as a nation at large but the players still decided to have a seat in said Uriri.

Uriri also indicated that they were a few players that could have influenced others to take the industrial action.

“There are few bad apples in the group and we have taken measures to address that,  I can only tell you that the individuals involved have been identified and we are dealing with them,  and everything is back to normal now.

CAPS United are now set to train tomorrow ahead of their away weekend against Mutare City on Sunday.
