Dynamos’ habit of failing to negotiate deals in time as again cost them with club captain Augustine Mbara leaving the for free.
Mbara joins newly promoted South African side Highlands Park as a free agent after failing to agree on a new deal with Dynamos who left negotiations till the last minute.
Mbara’s management team lead by leading player intermediary Gibson Mahachi said the club failed to secure his future despite knowing his contract situation for months.
Mbara and another player Elisha Muroiwa had their contracts ending on the 30th of June. Dynamos managed to get Muroiwa to sign a contract extension but were not as lucky with Mbara who will now be playing in the ABSA Premiership.
Mbara will link up with former Warriors keeper Tapuwa Kapini who played a key role in Highlands Park’s promotion to the top flight.
Mbara has been a key figure in Dynamos’ defence stability and his departure is a massive loss for the club who were seemingly back on track after an initial poor start to the season.
