Dynamos back to winning ways,FC Platinum open gap, CAPS lose

In the Castle Lager Premiership today Dynamos got back to winning ways while CAPS United were stunned by Bulawayo City.

Lloyd Mutasa’s finally saw his side end a six match winless streak with a 2-1 win over Harare City. Dynamos were made to wait as Harare City defended for most of the first half while finishing let down Dembare.

However in the 58th minute Denver Mukamba put Dynamos in the lead with a spectacular goal after good inter play with Masimba Mambare.The goal lifted a otherwise flat game as Dynamos increased the tempo.

However Harare City reacted well and Jerry Chipangura equalised in the 73rd minute. Despite the equaliser Dynamos continued to dominate proceedings and were rewarded when Ocean Mushure converted from the penalty spot after Chiveya had brought down Amidu in the box.

It was a big win for Dynamos  which sees them move into the top 4 again.

At Barbourfields stadium Bulawayo City produced the upset of Week 20 when they hammered CAPS United 3-1. Mkukhuli Moyo put the home side in the lead in the 7th minute   and CAPS United never really recovered from the early goal.

Trevor Ndlovu then added the second just before half-time before wrapping things up  with another goal in the 66th minute. Devon Chafa scored a late consolation but the damage was already done as CAPS United saw the gap between them and log leaders FC Platinum increase to five.

At Gibbo Stadium FC Platinum picked up a key three points in a tightly contested match. Nqobizitha Masuku opened the scoring for FC Platinum in the 8th minute but Tichaona Mapungwana levelled in the 17th minute.

Tarisai Rukanda then struck what proved to be the winner in the 38th minute.

At Luveve Stadium Thabani Gorodema’s goal was enough for Chicken Inn to beat Tsholotsho 1-0. Chicken Inn finished the match with ten men after Obadiah Tarumbwa was sent off for a second yellow card.

In Beitbridge Ngezi Platinum were handed their second consecutive defeat when they lost 2-0 to Border Strikers.Clever Muyendebure was on the score sheet as soon as the 2nd minute and Tabwe Kalunga doubled the lead in the 55th minute. Ngezi Platinum failed to pull one back when Talent Sande saved after Michael Mwenya had handled.
