FC Platinum not getting carried away says Mapeza

FC Platinum head coach Norman Mapeza has dismissed suggestions his side are “favourites” to land the league title and insists the race is still wide open.

FC Platinum opened up a five point gap at the top after beating Triangle as second placed CAPS  United stumbled with a loss to Bulawayo City.

With ten games to go till the end of the season FC Platinum have been tipped to land their first league crown.

But Mapeza sees things differently, “You (media) are putting us under pressure with the favourite tag you are writing about he told Newsday.

“We still have 10 games to go and we are not talking about the title as yet.  “We take each game as it comes and all the games are difficult not only for us, but for everyone.

FC Platinum have a tricky clash this coming weekend when they face defending league champions Chicken Inn.
