Pasuwa says AFCON preps begin now

Warriors head coach Callisto Pasuwa says the are taking the clash against Guinea very seriously  as it helps them start preparing for AFCON 2017.

Zimbabwe have already booked a place but with the tournament set for January in Gabon, Pasuwa believes it’s time to prepare now.

Speaking at yesterday’s training session Pasuwa said, “The game is important remember we have been having problems in terms of financials I thought it is one game we need to be using to be preparing for AFCON and if we can have these boys together ,maybe combinations will come out as we play games.

Pasuwa will have to do without both Danny Phiri and Nyasha Mushekwi for the match.Mushekwi who has been in top form for Dalian Yifang will remain in China while Danny Phiri was injured while turning out for Golden Arrows. Ronald Chitiyo has replaced Marshall Mudehwe who is in hospital after a car accident.

The Warriors are expected to leave the country on Thursday and link up with the European based players on in Guinea.
