PSL threaten to take ZIFA to court over promotion/relegation

The PSL have threatened to take ZIFA up to the Court of Arbitration for Sport for their latest resolution to change the relegation format for tis season.

Initially the ZIFA council had resolved to relegate 2 teams this season while the 4 Division 1 champions across the country will engage in promotional playoffs to promote 2. A resolution the same council changed with 2 league games to play.

The PSL represented by prominent lawyer and Caps United board Chairman Advocate Lewis Uriri presented a document to the ZIFA chairman Philip Chiyangwa questioning the logic of taking such a move with just 2 league games remaining, according to the Chronicle.

Its reportedly that, the PSL would rather have promotion and relegation suspended this season or the PSL will put the matter with the highest Sport Court in the World, The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)
