Chitembwe banks on team character ahead of Ngezi test

Caps United coach will be hoping that his charges exhibits the same character which they have displayed in the twilight stages of the campaign when they meet Ngezi Platinum at the National Sports Stadium this afternoon.

One of the games which the Green Machine showed their pedigree was their match against Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium where they forced a three all draw when the club was three nil down with five minutes to play.

Chitembwe said their looking for a positive result despite the challenge posed by the platinum miners.

“You can only underestimate Ngezi Platinum at your own peril and we know what awaits us because they are a very compact side said Chitembwe.

“I just hope that the never say die spirit which the boys have shown in the last 5 games of our campaign carries on and we come out with a positive result,” said

During the course of the week chaos rocked the Caps United camp with players demanding to be paid their outstanding salaries and allowances which threatened to rock the Green Machine boat.

However the club management quickly steeped in to pay the players their dues.

A win for CAPS United coupled with a loss or draw for FC Platinum against Highlanders will hand the league title to the Green Machine.
