Katsvairo scores as Kaizer Chiefs draw with Cape Town City

Michelle Katsvairo was on the score sheet as Kaizer Chiefs held on to secure a 1-1 draw with Cape Town City in an ABSA Premiership match played this evening (Tuesday).

Kastaviro opened the scoring in 4th minute when George Maluleka shot deflected off the Zimbabwean to beat Cape Town City keeper Shu-Aib Walters.

Chiefs should have doubled the lead when Edmore Chirambadare had a great chance after intercepting the ball but failed to beat the keeper.

In the 28th minute Chief were reduced to ten men when Sibusiso Khumalo was sent off for a rough tackle.

With a number advantage it was a matter of time till City were to equalise and they managed to do just that through Matthew Sim in the 53rd minute.

The rest of the half saw City piling on the pressure for the winner but Chiefs just managed to hold on to pick up a point.

The result sees Cape Town City remain on top with 21 points while Kaizer Chiefs are in fourth with 17 points and now stretch their winless streak to seven games.
