Harare City let go of Moses Chunga

Harare City have decided not to renew Moses “Bambo” Chunga’s contract after a poor season.

Chunga took over from Taurai Mangwiro who was let go after poor results as well. However Chunga failed to make much difference eventually finishing the season in 9th place with 39 points.

Harare City are one of the more financially stable clubs in the ZPSL and had made a number of high profile signings in 2016 such as Rapheal Manuvire and Ronald Chitiyo.

Chunga had  a contract until 31 December and was handed a target of a Top 3 finish and has been let go.

Harare City secretary Matthew Marara said Chunga had been given a performance based contract but the club had decided not to renew it and Mkhupali Masuku would be in charge of the team from the 1st of January 2017.
