Mamelodi Sundowns beaten at FIFA World Club Cup

African Champions Mamelodi Sundowns were beaten 2-0 by Japanese side Kashima Antlers in a FIFA World Club Cup quarterfinal

Mamelodi Sundowns had a good second half dominating play and creating the bulk of the chances.

Khama Billiat in particular was quite active switching between both wings as the Sundowns attack kept Kashina busy in the first half.

Halftime came with the score still goalless.

Kashima Antlers came back rejuvenated in the second half and were rewarded for their pressure when Endo scored in the 62nd minute.

In the 79th minute Billiat was substiuted for Vilikazi as Mosimane searched for a goal.

Sundowns tried in vain to press for the equaliser but Kashima added a second in the 87th minute.The South African side will be left ruing their missed chances in the first half as they crash out of the tournament.
