ZIFA’s onslaught on PSL continues with Kennedy Ndebele next in line

Premier Soccer League CEO Kennedy could be the next administrator to be suspended by ZIFA as the rift between the two bodies continues.

The impasse between ZIFA and PSL has already seen Peter Dube and Advoctate Lewis Uriri suspended.

Now ZIFA have accused Ndebele ,a widely respected administrator of causing fanning and sponsoring tensions between PSL and ZIFA members.

ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa has tasked acting PSL chairman Kenny Mubaiwa to bring the Premier Soccer League “into line” and to investigate Ndebele.

According to a letter written by ZIFA to Mubaiwa, Ndebele  is accused of fostering and sponsoring the breakdown of relationships between ZIFA and PSL members in violation of the ZIFA constitution.

Mubaiwa has been ordered to produce a report to Chiyangwa which should include Ndebele’s responses.

ZIFA has tasked Mubaiwa to facilitate and co-operate the forensic audit commissioned by ZIFA over the affairs of the PSL from 2009 to date.

In another move that seems clamp down and control the PSL, ZIFA  says all sponsorship deal of the league  must be submitted to the association to avoid PSL being short changed in any sponsorship deal. While all negotiations and sponsorship deal must be approved by the PSL.

The Premier Soccer League continues to be defiant of ZIFA’s demands and appears to be waiting for the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to respond to their demands
