Zvenyika Makonese is set to dump Shabanie Mine to join Swaziland Premier League outfit Manzini Wanderers.
Makonese (39) played a pivotal role in assisting Shabanie Mine to regain PSL promotion in the Central Region Division 1.
The Sunday News reports that, Makonese impressed the team during a 2 day trial stint in Swaziland.
Speaaking to the Sunday News, Wanderers technical director, Julius Chakupewa confirmed they had been impressed with Makonese who is set to replace outbound Frank Mukarati.
“Zvenyika has been with us for two days and he still has a lot to offer with his experience and he took no time to impress us. He will be joining us once the paperwork is done,” said Chakupewa.
The tough former Warriors defender has defied odds as he appears to get better with age approaching 40 years.
