Accommodation issues delay Warriors AFCON preps

The Warriors camp for next month’s African Cup of Nations has gotten off to a slow start due to accommodation issues.

The Warriors were supposed to have initially camped at the ZIFA Village but the current state and conditions of the facility are not suitable for team at the moment leading to officials running around to make alternative accommodation.

As of last night ZIFA had secured accommodation at a local hotel for Warriors to check in with training now expected to begin today.

The Warriors will be in the country until the 5th of January and according to ZIFA will play AFCON hosts Gabon on the 7th of January before playing Cameroon on the 10th.

The clash against Cameroon will be their final match before heading for the tournament which kick’s off on the 14 of January.
