Khama Billiat misses out as Onyango wins CAF Player of the Year based in Africa

Zimbabwean international Khama Billiat failed to win the CAF African Player of the Year based in Africa award finishing as a runner up to Ugandan and Sundowns teammate Dennis Onyango at the Glo-CAF awards held in Nigeria.

Riyad Mahrez clinched the top prize of CAF Player of the Year.

Billiat was one of standout players for Mamelodi Sundowns in the African Safari as they clinched the CAF Champions League and the ABSA Premiership as well together with Onyango

Billiat was also a key figure as Zimbabwe qualified for the upcoming AFCON 2017 but was piped by Onyango started for the Cranes of Uganda’s as the qualified as well.
