Calliso Pasuwa admits selecting final Warriors squad was tough task

Warriors head coach Callisto Pasuwa admits he had a positive headache when it came to deciding the final 23 players that will head to Gabon for the African Cup of Nations.

As expected the bulk of the squad consisted of players that had taken part during the qualifiers while Swedish based Tinotenda Kadewere and AS Vita defender Oscar Machapa did enough in the last few weeks to earn a ticket to Gabon.

‘At the end of the day as a coach you need to come up with a squad but it was not easy with the talent we have at our disposal.

Pasuwa gave the example of the forward department which looks over subscribed but the technical team ended up settling for some players that can play both in the midfield and attack such as Kadewere.

The Warriors are now expected to jet out this weekend and will play a friendly against Cameroon next week before going to Gabon with their first game on the 15th of January against Algeria.
