The Zimbabwe national team played a 1-1 draw with Cameroon in an international friendly in Yaounde this evening (Tuesday).

Cameroon dominated the opening minutes but it was Tendai Ndoro who put the Warriors in the lead in the 14th minute when he was set through on goal before putting the ball past the Cameronian keeper.

On the 22nd minute Ndoro thought he had scored a second when he had the ball in the back of net after reacting quickly to a rebound but his effort was ruled out for offside.

On the 26th minute mark Muroiwa made a rash tackle in the box and conceded a penalty which Cameroon scored from to equalise.

The Warriors threatened going forward with Ndoro and Mahachi looking quite lively and causing problems for the Cameroonian defence in the first half.

But Zimbabwe were also kept busy at the other end as Cameroon threatened to score a second backed by an expectant home crowd.

Halftime came with the game evenly balanced and the scoreline still at 1 all.

The second half saw Callisto Pasuwa make a number of changes. Ndoro was replaced by Knowledge Musona , while Khama Billiat , Oscar Machapa ,Matthew Rusike and Nyasha Mushekwi were introduced as the half progressed.

Cameroon seized the upper hand pinning down the the Warriors defence with a number of attacks.

Tatenda Mukuruva was forced into a number of key saves and Cameroon edged closer to goal but were denied by post in the 78th minute.

In the 93rd minute Zimbabwe should have taken the lead and the match when Musona made a good run before laying off the ball to Nyasha Mushekwi who only needed to direct the ball goal wards but somehow sent it wide much to the shock of both teams.
