Video: Senegalese keeper Khadim N’Diaye takes time wasting to another level

Khadim N’Diaye produced a moment to remember at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Monday night. Zimbabweans could have possible missed this one because it happened at the same time while we watched the last group B match featuring Algeria and Tunisia.

With the clock ticking towards 90 minutes, N’Diaye strides up to take a goal-kick after Papakouly Diop and Moussa Sow had cancelled out Slimani’s strikes.

But as he is about to make contact with the ball, he clearly knocks his right foot into the back of his left boot, clutching the stricken area after he has fallen to the ground.

The reserve goalkeeper became an instant star of social media with one user commenting ‘Never seen that trick before, gotta give credit for the creativity,’ while another was less impressed, responding ‘this should be a straight red’.
