New deal on offer for Katsande at Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs General Manager Bobby Motaung says he is working ’round the clock’ to review the contract of Zimbabwe International Willard Katsande.

The hard tackling defender is still in Zimbabwe after the AFCON 2017 Jamboree which saw the Warriors getting eliminated in the group stages.

Speaking to the club’s official website after securing Erick Mathoho’s services, Motang said offers have been tabled and negotiations are at advanced stage.

“We are working around the clock to review the contracts of Lucky Baloyi, Willard Katsande, Tsepo Masilela and George Maluleka.

“Proposals are on the table with regard to Katsande and Maluleka. We are waiting for Katsande to return from national team duty to continue with the negotiations. We are looking to finalise Maluleka’s deal by the end of the week.”, He said.

Katsande is highly regarded in Chiefs’ ranks and has played a pivotal role in Kaizer Chiefs recent successes.
