Kudakwashe Mahachi was the only Zimbabwean International player to find the target in Wednesday night ABSA Premiership matches.

Mahachi scored despite his Golden Arrows side going down 5-2 against Supersport United. A rather subdued Arrows also featured Danny Phiri who played the entire match. Supersport welcomed back Kingston Nkhatha who stepped up from the bench with just 6 minutes left of play.

Orlando Pirates Chief striker Tendai Ndoro could not add any to his leading goal tally as Orlando Pirates was held to a goalless draw by Platinum Stars.

George Chigova’s Polokwane City drew 1-1 with Maritzburg United.

Mamelodi Sundowns needed a late Themba Zwane goal to beat Bloemfontein Celtic 1 nil. The African Champions had in their ranks Khama Billiat who was however dully substituted in the 80th minute.
