Triangle Appoint Mangwiro

Triangle FC have appointed former CAPS United and Harare City coach, Taurayi Mangwiro, on a two-year contract.

The 47-year-old has replaced David Mandigora as Triangle coach following his resignation as ZIFA technical director.

“It feels good to be back practicing and after being shown the exit at Harare City I ended up assuming duty at ZIFA as technical director and when the opportunity arose at Triangle I felt I needed to come back since I feel I have unfinished business coaching and developing players.

“I still feel there is a lot I can do to develop players in this country, yes, I was doing a bit in developing coaches but I feel I have more to do with development and training of the players.

We started very good projects at ZIFA, my departure there has got nothing to do with the leadership at ZIFA, they are people who have been supportive to me but, unfortunately, I had to leave,” Mangwiro is quoted by The Herald.

Abram Chinemaringa, Triangle secretary reportedly said at the unveiling of Mangwiro at Gibbo that the club is looking forward to a good season after a disastrous 2016 season.

“Tawurayi Mangwiro is assuming the head coach’s role this year going forward [and] Godfrey Tamirepi is coming as [the] assistant coach while Innocent Chagugudza is our new goalkeepers’ trainer and with this new technical team we are looking forward to a good season going forward,” he said.
